The non-embrass of and avoidance of the left

For the life of me I cannot understand why the left will not accept who and what they are. It is almost as if they were ashamed of it. They have put all kind of ribbons and bows and used every other name than what they are-Marxists or Maoists or Communists.

They would rather be the left or progressives or semi-socialists. They can’t accept themselves regardless of everyone seeing them for what they are.
Socialism: System of social organization in which private property and the distribution of income are subject to social control; also, the political movements aimed at putting that system into practice.
Hitler’s Fascism: The German economic system remained capitalistic but the state played a more prominent role in managing the economy. Industrialists were sometimes told what to produce and what price they should charge for the goods that they made. The government also had the power to order workers to move to where they were required.
Communism:

1. A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.
2. The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat.

Progressivism is a political and social term that refers to ideologies and movements favoring or advocating changes or reform, usually in a statist oregalitarian direction for economic policies (government management) and liberal direction for social policies (personal choice). Progressivism is often viewed in opposition to conservative ideologies, as so it should be. Conservatives are not the ones who are clinging to antiquated old ideals. Moving forward prudently with a strong value system defines the Conservatives.

It is all about values, isn’t it. What do the two sides value. The conservatives see the individual and the needs of said individual. The other sides see a group without individual needs only a group think. The group think was perperated by the other side to have them believe they were not individuals.

It is can’t see the trees for the forest, I guess.
