Freedom or Freedumb?

There seems to be confusion for the definition of freedom. The current populace seems to define freedom as free stuff…WRONG…you lose.
When you get “free-stuff” you are not at liberty to choose…you get the “free-stuff” the giver wants to give you, which may not be what you want. It is to settle for liberty deprivation.
Freedom is exercising one’s free will…choices are what make up freedom. Some may think that receiving “free stuff” gives you the freedom to do other stuff that one may choose to do, not.
Surrendering freedom paves the way for other freedoms to be taken away, the Patriot Act seems to be an example.
Does everyone like the cameras watching us around big cities?
We do need laws to protect ourselves from each other….my freedom does end where your nose begins. We cannot willy-nilly swing fists into other’s noses.
The word freedom needs to be explained, not convoluted into a misdefinition.
When Patrick Henry said “give me liberty or give me death” he wasn’t talking about free stuff…breaking the shackles of a domineering government was more important than life itself.
Progressives are not progressive…they are regressive…reverting back to the autocracy of pre-American Revolution…..it makes no sense to me why people cannot understand this truth.
As The late, great Milton Friedman Nobel-prize winning Chicago-school economist Milton Friedman is famous for saying, “There is no such thing as a free lunch.”
I am wondering what they are teaching in our universities…certainly isn’t based in reality.
